Class 1A District coaches of the year for 2002 included, Ryan Berg - Storm Lake St. Mary's, Matt Zoske - North Tama, Tony Adams - Mason City Newman, Jim Donohue - Martensdale St. Mary and Scott Hardie of Iowa Valley Marengo.

Class 4A District Coaches of the Year for 2002 included, Steve Hanson - Marshalltown, Bret Hoyer - Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Brent Buttjer - North Scott and Lee Toole of Council Bluffs Lewis Central. 

Class 3A Coaches of the Year for 2002 included Steve Sanders - Oelwein, Joel Johnson - Knoxville and Terry Weiler of Winterset. 

Assistant Coaches of the Year for 2002 included, Mark Hey - Ankeny, Chad Stalzer - Council Bluffs Lewis Central and Tom Cronk of Iowa City West.  

Award Winners in 2002 included Class 1A Coach of the Year Tony Adams - Mason City Newman, Service Award Scott Broghamer - University of Iowa, Class 3A Coach of the Year Joel Johnson - Knoxville, Umpire of the Year Dan Pomeroy - Coon Rapids and Class 4A Coach of the Year Steve Hanson Marshalltown. 

Class 2A District Coaches of the Year for 2002 included Jake Souhrada of Wilton and Brian Herman of Underwood.
